Salary RangeWe offer a competitive salary range for this position, estimated at $88,990 to $127,923 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job DescriptionThe Privacy Specialist, Research will play a vital role in interpreting and applying privacy legislation, standards, and principles in a complex hybrid electronic information and technical healthcare environment. This individual will lead components and assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, and evolution of Interior Health's Information Privacy and FOI Services Office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice on access and privacy legislation, international and eHealth information management standards, and principles.
- Facilitating and approving the completion of Privacy Impact Risk Assessment (PIA) processes.
- Developing, delivering, and evaluating the privacy education and training program.
- Assessing privacy risks and proposing protective processes for research studies.
- Providing practical compliance solutions to facilitate health research.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop standard operating procedures and agreements forms or templates referencing privacy requirements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with multiple partners, exercise maturity, tact, confidentiality, and discretion, and establish effective partnerships with various stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of current information legislation, standards, and trends, as well as representing the Health Authority on provincial and local committees or task groups.
