At the Interior Health Authority, we are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with experience in cardiology testing to work independently within a supportive team environment.

Job Description

Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

  • Perform a variety of non-invasive examinations, including ECGs, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
  • Explain procedures to prepare patients for testing and answer related questions.
  • Monitor patients during cardiograms and stress tests, taking appropriate action upon recognition of cardiac arrhythmias or other abnormalities.
  • Analyze and record relevant data for interpretation by cardiologists and/or internists.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized Diploma program in Cardiology Technology.
  • Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligibility for membership.
