Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Records and Information Management Specialist to join our team at the City of Kelowna.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and recommending improvements to the Corporate Records and Information Management (RIM) program and related systems to meet our corporate business needs, legislative requirements, and public accountability.

Duties
  • Directs operational activities under the RIM program, including annual archive and destruction.
  • Supports other business areas in aligning and complying with the RIM program.
  • Develops corporate standards and policies, administrative and system guidelines, practices, procedures, and tools to support the RIM program.
  • Develops and provides direction, instruction, guidance, and training to end-users and ensures EDMS/RIM education and training resources are accessible to all employees.
  • Conducts ongoing analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the RIM program to recommend and manage implementation of performance improvements.
  • Provides project management support and training to develop and implement new or upgraded RIM systems.
  • Monitors accountability framework for compliance, tracking, reporting, evaluation, and recognition.
  • Assists with processing formal requests for access to records under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in local government administration, records management, or information management.
  • Two years of experience in records and information management.

Compensation

$38.67 - $41.22 per hour plus 14% in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays, and benefits.
