About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at SORREL RESTAURANT. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious pastry dishes that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data and operational metrics to inform menu planning and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items that align with our restaurant's brand and quality standards.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality pastry dishes on a daily basis, including desserts, pastries, and other sweet treats.
  • Plan and direct the preparation and cooking activities of our pastry team, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create seasonal menus and special promotions.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience as a pastry chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • College or CEGEP diploma in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
