About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at EPCM. As a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Direct and supervise a team of grounds maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
    • Hire, train, and develop staff to meet the needs of the department.
  • Grounds Maintenance
    • Plan and direct the maintenance and upkeep of grounds, including planting, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
    • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Manage and maintain work records and logs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Tender and administer contracts for goods and services as required.
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Technical and Safety
    • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
    • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
    • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Attention to detail.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Strong communication and leadership skills.
      Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
      • Work Environment
        • Work Term: Permanent.
        • Work Language: English.
        • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
