Fiber Materials Sourcing and Procurement

Cascades is seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our Recovery + division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating the procurement of fiber materials, such as OCC (Old Corrugated Containers), SOP (Sorted Office Paper), and other recyclables.

  • Market Analysis and Supplier Relationships: Actively seek and secure new suppliers of fiber materials, maintaining an in-depth understanding of market trends, commodity prices, and supplier landscapes to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Conduct supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, terms, and volume commitments, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Inventory Management and Logistics: Work closely with the Account Management Team, Operations, and Logistics teams to align purchasing efforts with inventory needs and customer demand.

Requirements

  • Supply Chain Experience: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to close deals under pressure, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel and Industry Events: Ability to travel as needed to meet suppliers and attend industry events.
