Claims Manager Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Manager to join our team at Intact. As a key member of our EBI & Energy practice, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of our EBI & Energy team, ensuring that results meet team, department, corporate, provincial, and regulatory standards and goals. You will achieve essential business goals and meet customer service expectations while acting as claims authority within areas of expertise.
You will continually assess and improve workflows to ensure efficiency, work closely with your Director of Claims to develop strategies, and monitor financial performance and productivity. Additionally, you will provide expertise on claims matters, including policy interpretation, liability, and quantum determination, and settlement negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the EBI & Energy team
- Achieve essential business goals and meet customer service expectations
- Act as claims authority within areas of expertise
- Continually assess and improve workflows to ensure efficiency
- Monitor financial performance and productivity
- Provide expertise on claims matters, including policy interpretation, liability, and quantum determination, and settlement negotiation
Requirements:
- Experience with or exposure to Specialty Insurance Claims (Equipment Breakdown, Property within Energy segment, and/or Commercial Property)
- Excellent claims technical skills with a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues
- Proven leadership skills with experience coaching and mentoring
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
