Senior Director of Philanthropy and Campaigns

The Senior Director of Philanthropy and Campaigns will play a critical role in driving the fundraising strategy and growth of Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland. This senior leadership position will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan, building and maintaining relationships with major donors, and overseeing the management of the philanthropy budget.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Donor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with major donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Grant Writing: Research and write grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies and private foundations.
- Team Management: Supervise and support a team of fundraising staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.
- Communication: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the organization's mission and goals.
- Education: Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or non-profit management.
- Experience: Five or more years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts and grants.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, including donor relations, grant writing, and event planning.
- Competitive Salary: A yearly salary of $120,000 based on experience.
