Job Summary:

March of Dimes Canada is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Brain Injury Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Outreach programs, you will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and safe delivery of Community Support Services to clients with Brain Injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement programs designed to support clients with Brain Injury, working collaboratively with the Rehab Service Coordinator (RSC) to complete daily report writing, incident reports, Individual Rehabilitation Plan, and quarterly reporting.
  • Act as a resource to staff and families in the provision of long-term support and service coordination for complex or catastrophic cases, enabling adults with Brain Injuries to remain in the community.
  • Provide cognitive and compensatory strategies that support functional goal setting.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the Social Services/Health Sector, coordinating services for individuals with Brain Injury is an asset.
  • Concrete knowledge of the effects of an ABI is an asset, training will be provided.
  • Community-based experience working with individuals with a Brain Injury, physical disabilities, or special needs.
  • General understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Valid License and access to reliable transportation.
