We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Tandoori Flame. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing menus that showcase the richness of East Indian cuisine.

Job Summary

The Executive Chef will lead our kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily meals while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This includes planning menus, requisitioning supplies, preparing complete meals, and supervising kitchen staff.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 1 year of experience as a cook, preferably in a restaurant setting. A strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management is essential. Your ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and ensure timely meal delivery will also be crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to established recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Organize buffets and banquets, managing logistics and timelines with precision

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and multitasking skills are critical. The physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to kitchen temperatures and humidity.

What We Offer

Tandoori Flame offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
