Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef Manager to join our team at Brar Sweets & Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing menus, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think on your feet, and make sound decisions quickly. As an Executive Chef Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating special events and functions, including buffets and banquets
  • Determining food portion sizes and costs to ensure profitability
  • Planning menus and estimating food requirements for large groups
  • Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Preparing special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef
  • Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Ordering supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervising kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Cleaning kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
