Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at the Transportation Association of Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project management support to our transportation infrastructure, design, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on planning, designing, and scheduling of transportation projects
  • Conduct critical reviews of engineering submissions, including municipal road designs, stormwater management plans, and traffic impact studies
  • Review and recommend rehabilitation and asset management strategies for transportation systems
  • Assess private accesses on Regional roads for compliance with standards and guidelines
  • Establish and coordinate project schedules
  • Review and submit applications for approvals from various agencies
  • Participate in budget preparation and tender document packages
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to standards and software for municipal road design
  • Organize and participate in meetings, information sessions, and workshops
  • Respond to and coordinate comments with stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Registration as an Engineering Technologist or eligibility for registration
  • Extensive experience in transportation planning and design
  • Working knowledge of geo-technical practices, utility coordination, and Class Environmental Assessments
  • Understanding of construction methods, Ontario Provincial Standards, and other policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's Licence with access to a reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with traffic impact assessments, traffic operations analysis, and land development
  • Knowledge of Civil3D and coordination of multi-discipline municipal road projects
