Job Summary

The **Diagnostic Imaging Manager** at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Imaging Department. This includes managing human and financial resources, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensure the availability of departmental supplies and equipment to meet operational needs.
  • Participate in strategic planning and accreditation processes.
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to meet corporate priorities.
  • Manage safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support licensed staff to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Implement and manage quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Registered with a recognized college or association (CMRTO, CARDUP).
  • Baccalaureate preparation in a health-related field is essential; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of current progressive experience in an acute care setting.
  • Sound management and leadership skills, professional judgment, technical knowledge, initiative, innovation, ability to organize, coordinate, problem solve, discipline, delegate, and communicate with all professional groups.
Working Conditions

The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre operates 24/7 to provide patient care. Depending on the program, it may be an expectation that you are available to work weekdays and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights.
