Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of technical procedures, including radiography and minor special procedures, with independent judgment and initiative.
- Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures, demonstrating a high level of technical competence and patient care skills.
- Work collaboratively with students from affiliated radiologic schools, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain continuing education requirements for the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a recognized accredited school of Radiological Technology.
- Registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in all aspects of general radiography and minor special procedures.
- CT imaging experience or willingness to be trained.
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Safety Code 35.
- Working knowledge of RHPA.
- Working knowledge of standards of practice for related field.
- Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
- Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
- Recent satisfactory performance appraisal.
- Recent satisfactory attendance record.
- No recent disciplinary events.
