Job Summary:

The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including radiography and minor special procedures, with independent judgment and initiative.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures, demonstrating a high level of technical competence and patient care skills.
  • Work collaboratively with students from affiliated radiologic schools, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements for the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized accredited school of Radiological Technology.
  • Registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in all aspects of general radiography and minor special procedures.
  • CT imaging experience or willingness to be trained.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Safety Code 35.
  • Working knowledge of RHPA.
  • Working knowledge of standards of practice for related field.
  • Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Recent satisfactory performance appraisal.
  • Recent satisfactory attendance record.
  • No recent disciplinary events.
