The Diagnostic Imaging Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, overseeing the management of diagnostic imaging services, including Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Ultrasound, and MRI modalities. This position requires a strong leader who can foster a motivated and cohesive team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic planning.
- Collect and analyze data on financial, quality, utilization, and outcome indicators, driving innovative actions to improve performance.
- Provide exceptional leadership in managing human and financial resources, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement staffing plans to meet corporate priorities, ensuring the right people are in the right roles.
- Ensure the availability of departmental supplies and equipment, balancing needs with fiscal responsibility.
- Participate in strategic planning and accreditation, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- Determine operational goals and objectives, standards, and policies aligned with corporate direction.
- Manage safety programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Supervise and support licensed staff, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
- Implement and manage quality improvement initiatives, promoting quality and ethical practices.
- Maintain a patient-centered model of care, delivering high-quality services that meet customer needs and expectations.
- Registered with a recognized college or association (CMRTO, CARDUP).
- Baccalaureate preparation in a health-related field, with a Master's level preferred (MPA, MBA, MHA).
- 3-5 years of current progressive experience in an acute care setting.
- Sound management and leadership skills, professional judgment, technical knowledge, initiative, innovation, ability to organize, coordinate, problem solve, discipline, delegate, and communicate with all professional groups.
