Labor Law Specialist

We are on a mission to achieve excellence in health, healing, and learning through working together. As an integral member of our Labour Relations team, you will provide corporate resources to NSHA and IWK, analyzing complex problems and offering strategic direction.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in labor law, with at least 3 years of experience providing legal advice and collective agreement interpretation. A Bachelor of Laws (LLB/JD) degree is required.
Your key responsibilities include assessing grievances and acting as legal counsel at labor arbitrations and other forms of dispute resolution. You will also represent us before the Labour Board and occasionally the courts, and act as lead negotiator for collective bargaining and essential services negotiation.
