Billing Specialist Role in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Cox & Palmer is a leading Atlantic Canadian law firm with a strong presence in the Halifax office. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our team by overseeing the pre-billing process, managing client relationships, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the pre-billing process for assigned practice groups or teams, ensuring timely posting of monthly pre-bills based on Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for billing inquiries and concerns;
  • Monitor client accounts and Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports for outstanding balances, initiating follow-up actions as necessary;
  • Identify and address inconsistencies and irregularities in client accounts;
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the accounting department and billing team, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of billing-related matters;
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or healthcare setting;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Prior experience with Aderant is an asset;

Compensation:
