We are a reputable restaurant seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Summary

The Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, staff supervision, and budgeting. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's unique blend of Indian and international flavors.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise and coordinate the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of cooks, kitchen assistants, and other support staff to achieve excellent results and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses, including ingredients, supplies, and labor costs, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Inspect food quality, presentation, and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role or as a senior cook.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven leadership and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
