Job Summary
A skilled Executive Chef and Kitchen Operations Manager is required to lead the culinary team at Holiday Inn Ottawa East. This key role involves overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, food quality control, and staff management to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement menus that meet customer preferences and business objectives
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and serving to maintain high-quality standards
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
• Supervise kitchen staff, provide training, and evaluate performance
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, company policies, and emergency procedures
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to achieve timely and professional service of food for complete guest satisfaction
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:
• 5 years of experience in cooking or a related field (preferred)
• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to plan and develop menus, recipes, and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory control, and cost management
• Minimum Journeyman 'Red Seal' certification or equivalent international documentation required
• Canadian Certified Chef qualification considered an advantage
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition, ability to work with stress, time constraints, physical activity, and continuous walking

Compensation Package:
$60,000 per year, plus benefits including disability insurance, discounted or free food, extended health care, life insurance, on-site parking, store discount, and vision care. Work schedule includes 8-hour shifts, day shift, evening shift, every weekend, holidays, and Monday to Friday. Commute/relocate requirement: Gloucester, ON K1J 7T4.
