Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding Specialist to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, check, and monitor documentation for all project freight, entering information into our proprietary systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist vendors in completing export formalities, such as AES and B13, within company guidelines.
  • Track and trace shipments online, following up with overseas partners and stakeholders to ensure timely updates.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow up with overseas clients on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) compliance.
  • Communicate efficiently with stakeholders, ensuring proper follow-up on shipments and maintaining good relations with overseas partners, customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Conformity verification and proper management of shipments statuses and documentation throughout the shipment cycle.
  • Monitor and respond promptly to incoming communications from clients and business partners.
  • Timely and accurate billing/invoicing within set standards.
  • Provide assistance to improve products and services as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, business administration, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of industry experience, with knowledge of all modes of transport (air/ocean/trucking) and handling oversized shipments.
  • CIFFA certificate, project experience, and Dangerous Goods Certification are assets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements, active listening, and service-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Language and computer skills, including English as the principal language, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk, working on a computer.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Regular working hours apply, with occasional need to work beyond these hours due to business needs.
