Join Pinchin as a Project Coordinator specializing in hazardous materials management. This role is pivotal in our commitment to ensuring safety and compliance in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of hazardous materials and workplace exposures.
  • Engage with clients to gather information regarding building history and specific concerns.
  • Perform detailed inspections and evaluations of building systems and materials.
  • Utilize specialized equipment for measurements and sample collection.
  • Identify and collect samples of suspect materials, including asbestos and lead.
  • Draft comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations for hazardous materials management.
  • Oversee and document the work of contractors involved in hazardous materials abatement.
  • Analyze air samples for asbestos content.
  • Support business development efforts with existing clients.
  • Enhance quality control measures within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in hazardous materials management is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications (C.E.T. or similar) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Understanding of building systems including structure, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in technical report writing.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel requirements.
  • Compliance with client security clearances and testing may be necessary.
