Company Overview
Auberge du Pommier is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Mystic, a new restaurant located on the Halifax waterfront. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for leading by example and ensuring the quality and consistency of all desserts served.
The Day-to-Day
- You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine to maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry.
- You will be responsible for preparing desserts to the highest standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every detail.
- You will maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- You will handle special requests and guest allergies with professionalism and care.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.
- Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
- Proven ability to work well with a team and as an individual.
- Culinary degree/diploma an asset.
