Company Overview

Auberge du Pommier is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Mystic, a new restaurant located in the Queen's Marque district. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality desserts and pastries that showcase the region's exceptional fish, flora, and fauna.

The Day-to-Day

  • You will lead by example, ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served.
  • You will strive for accuracy and consistency, preparing desserts to the standards set by the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
  • You will maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry.
  • You will be responsible for recording, costing, and updating menu items on an ongoing basis.
  • You will identify and correct any issues that can impact the effectiveness of the operation.
  • You will ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are adhered to.
  • You will handle special requests and guest allergies to ensure guest health and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team, and as an individual.
  • Culinary degree/diploma an asset.
