Strategic Technology Consultant for Marketing and Sales Optimization

About the RoleThis strategic technology consultant position requires hands-on experience with marketing and sales systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various business units and technology teams and report directly to the Director of Product Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Gain a deep understanding of our existing IT infrastructure and business processes related to marketing, sales, leasing, and customer service, and identify areas for improvement. Develop a technical vision and work with cross-functional teams to design effective and efficient solutions for existing business problems and new opportunities.
- System Architecture Design: Design, test, and implement technical architectures for scalable, secure, and efficient customer platforms. Improve existing system architecture for CRM (Salesforce) and other marketing, sales, and service management platforms.
- Business Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with the Product Management team, Business Analysts, and subject matter experts to understand business processes and requirements, and translate them into process maps, technical specifications, and system designs.
- Technology Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate new technologies and tools to ensure our platforms are leveraging the latest advancements in marketing, sales, and customer management technology, particularly AI for content and analytics, 3D modeling, and AR/VR.
- Prototyping and Proof of Concept Development: Work with internal and external development teams to create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate proposed solutions to stakeholders.
- Integration Planning: Lead the integration efforts between different systems and platforms to ensure data consistency, effective collaboration between various functional teams, and a unified customer experience.
- System Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and integration guides.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize system performance and reliability. Consult, coach, and collaborate with product and delivery managers, application developers, and key vendors to build future-proof technical solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, engineers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Eight (8) years of experience in a technical role, with 4 years in solution architecture design in an enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge in Salesforce, software development, and system architecture.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through your ability to translate business needs into technical solutions;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge with CRM systems, customer service platforms, and web infrastructure will be considered an asset.
