Job Opportunity: Process Documentation and Control Consultant

At Sun Life, we are seeking an experienced Process Documentation and Control Consultant to join our Canadian Total Benefits team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building or improving written working procedures owned by the Canadian Total Benefits team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review available process documentation and interview Total Benefits team members to understand processes
  • Investigate operational activities that require process documentation
  • Develop a structured approach for documenting all operational activities and create process notes for the team to use
  • Share ideas that will save time and make processes simpler
  • Build an online manual for the Total Benefits team to use for new hire training
  • Identify preventative, detective, and corrective controls to use to ensure processes are maintained
  • Integrate controls into process documentation through checklists or trackers that the team will maintain while doing the work
  • Train Total Benefits team members on any changes to processes and controls

Requirements:

  • Experience documenting processes
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Autonomous learner with deep curiosity to learn total benefits and well-being programs
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
  • Familiar with benefit and well-being programs an asset
  • Business/process writing experience an asset
  • Experience with a control framework such as COSO is an asset
