Communications Coordinator

Oshawa Power & Utilities Corporation is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to support the development and delivery of communications content for our organization.
Job SummaryThe Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Manager to create and implement communications strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the production of materials for public awareness campaigns, including brochures, posters, and advertisements.
- Assist in the development of work back schedules and support internal communications and engagement.
- Obtain content, write text, and prepare mock layouts for graphic and print completion.
- Participate in and assist to organize events and activities, including trade shows and community events.
- Maintain media and stakeholder contact lists.
- Provide backup support to the Corporate Communications Specialist.
- Post-secondary education in Communications or Public Relations.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of copywriting, digital and print communications, website design, online and email marketing, and graphic design principles.
- Ability to write effectively in plain language for print, web, video, and e-newsletters.
- Analytical and organizational skills to edit and proofread own and others' work.
- Communication skills to work with and facilitate communications messaging with program partners and other staff.
