About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate, Institutional Product Development to join our team at TD Asset Management. As a key member of our Institutional Product team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our institutional product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of markets, competitors, product and regulatory trends to inform decisions on new product concepts
  • Synthesize data on emerging medium and long-term product development trends to inform product roadmap
  • Develop products for various countries and regions to profitably grow market share
  • Provide high-level support to our Relationship Management and Client Service groups
  • On-going product management ensuring our investment solutions remain competitive and compliant with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of related industry experience preferred with at least 3 years of experience in an institutional product development function within the asset management industry
  • Experience with Institutional Public Funds, including multi-assets strategies
  • Knowledge of Canadian institutional investment product related vehicles including a working knowledge of major investment strategies and styles employed by fixed income, equity and alternative portfolio managers
  • Knowledge of pool fund trusts, limited partnerships, LLCs, offshore feeders, UCITs
  • Preference given to candidates with product development experience across various asset classes and vehicles
  • Demonstrated experience engaging in complex investment product launches with multiple stakeholders
  • A working knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues, fund accounting and performance/portfolio reporting principles
  • Strong leadership skills
  • CFA Preferred, or progression to becoming a charter holder and/or commensurate experience
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills in interacting with various stakeholders within the firm, other members of the product team
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Undergraduate degree required
