About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Institutional Business Development Associate to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to increase market awareness and generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with institutional prospects and investment consultants, leveraging your knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies.
  • Market Awareness: Develop and execute a business plan to increase market awareness and visibility for our investment solutions, working closely with our Institutional Portfolio Managers and business development team.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, investment consultants, and other key stakeholders, providing exceptional service and support to drive business growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our business development and marketing teams to identify key investment capabilities and develop strategic plans to prioritize and execute on these opportunities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor engagement and track progress against business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the investment industry, preferably with business development or consultant relations accountabilities.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and the Canadian institutional market.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, or actuarial science, with a CFA designation.
