We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Institutional Business Development Associate to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to increase market awareness and generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with institutional prospects and investment consultants, leveraging your knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies.
- Market Awareness: Develop and execute a business plan to increase market awareness and visibility for our investment solutions, working closely with our Institutional Portfolio Managers and business development team.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, investment consultants, and other key stakeholders, providing exceptional service and support to drive business growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Canadian Institutional team to identify cross-selling opportunities and develop strategic plans to drive business growth.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor engagement and track business development activities, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the investment industry, preferably with business development or consultant relations accountabilities.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets across multiple asset classes, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the Canadian institutional market and competitive landscape.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, with a strong ability to build long-lasting relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, or actuarial science, with a CFA designation.
