Job Summary

  • In this senior-level position, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business and increase the bank's share of the home financing market.
  • You will work closely with branch teams to properly hand off customers, finalize mortgage documentation, and refer customers with non-mortgage needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Cultivate and Manage Referral Network: Proactively contact referral and origination sources identified through national partnerships and/or create local partnerships to discuss home financing solutions.
  2. Implement Marketing Programs: Assist with the implementation of targeted marketing programs, promotions, and other initiatives to expand the network and drive business growth.
  3. Expand Network Opportunities: Seek opportunities to expand the network by obtaining referrals and originations from existing relationships.
  4. Establish Community Presence: Establish and enhance the bank's community presence by participating in trade shows, conferences, and related events.
  5. Guide Customers: Guide customers throughout mortgage application and processing activities.
  6. Partner with Branch Teams: Partner with branch teams to properly hand off customers, finalize mortgage documentation, and refer customers with non-mortgage needs.
  7. Provide Customer Service: Provide customers with friendly, courteous, and professional service in response to queries and requests.
  8. Stay Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements for mortgage products and services.
  9. Address Customer Issues: Address customer service issues according to established parameters.
  10. Provide Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
  11. Determine Business Priorities: Help determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  12. Liaise with BMO Teams: Liaise with various BMO teams and customers to ensure satisfactory completion and/or fulfillment of the home financing application.
  13. Analyze Data: Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  14. Report Findings: Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
  15. Engage with Referral Network: Engage with referral network to create strong relationships that generate referrals and mortgage originations.

Qualifications

">
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management.
  • Strong knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.

About Our Compensation Package

">

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience, as well as performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
