Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, collecting and screening applicants, and advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Recruitment
    • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to ensure optimal team performance
    • Collect and screen applicants to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications and requirements
    • Advise job applicants on employment requirements, terms and conditions, and company policies
  • Candidate Management
    • Review candidate inventories to ensure the best fit for the role
    • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and assessments
    • Notify applicants of results of the selection process and prepare job offers
  • HR Support
    • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
    • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a positive work environment
    • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency in MS Word
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
