Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying staffing requirements, screening applicants, and advising managers on staffing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them
  • Collect and screen applicants, ensuring a thorough and fair selection process
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, providing clear and concise information
  • Review candidate inventories and make recommendations for hiring
  • Arrange interviews with potential candidates and notify applicants of results
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to fill staffing needs
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company guidelines
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and other Microsoft Office applications
Work Environment

As a Human Resources Officer at Comfort Inn & Suites, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. You will be required to work 32 hours per week and have a strong attention to detail.
