Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Repair and Replacement: Adjust and repair or replace defective parts on heavy-duty equipment, ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Testing and Verification: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and verify that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
The Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to heavy equipment and tools. The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance is required.
- Language: Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
