About the Role

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at our Cambridge Construction & Forestry location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy duty equipment, including construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.
  • Repair and maintain equipment in a shop environment, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to accepted standards.
  • Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate parts and order from parts personnel, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
