Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Cambridge Construction & Forestry location.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy duty equipment, and perform repairs and maintenance in a shop environment.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, and operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
- Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
- Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate parts using parts catalogues and order parts from parts personnel.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, service team, and branch personnel.
- Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
- Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
