Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join our team at Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Repair and Replacement: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Testing and Verification: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and verify that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance is required.
  • Language: Fluency in English or French is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Work Schedule: The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week, with a regular schedule and occasional overtime as required.
