The estimated annual salary for this role is around $55,000-$65,000 based on industry standards and cost of living in Geneva, NY.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate and participate in the processing of bi-weekly payroll. The successful candidate will assume a lead role within the payroll team, setting high quality standards for policy/procedure compliance.

  • Coordinate and process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain payroll data elements, including income, deduction authorization codes, and general ledger expense coding
  • Complete all payroll software processing requirements, including running begin cycles, entering timecards, proving data, releasing dates, updating checks, entering voids/reclasses, producing trial balances, printing checks/pay stubs, updating FTE data, and transmitting NACHA information
  • Act as lead payroll contact for system tests and upgrades, electronically transmit federal and state taxes, produce internal payroll reports, and interface payroll data to Lawson general ledger
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-year Associate's degree in business or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years computerized payroll experience, including comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements
  • General accounting and software application knowledge, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, would be an asset. Additionally, demonstrated leadership abilities and experience with UltiPro would be considered valuable skills.
