Global Engagement Agency Business Growth Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to join our client's team in the Oakville, Toronto area. This hybrid role requires you to be within a commutable distance to the office, blending remote work flexibility with in-person collaboration.
Our client is a global engagement agency that uses behavioral economics principles to produce measurable results for clients by driving and sustaining engagement with employees, channel partners, and customers. With seven global headquarters and operating in 22 languages, they deliver best-in-class solutions to global, regional, and local customers.
You will develop strong relationships and gain a deep understanding of clients' pivotal business strategies within assigned accounts. Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing customer loyalty through impactful corporate initiatives
- Residing in the specified market area for hybrid work requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 8 years of B2B sales experience targeting Fortune 500 companies, with no more than 3 job changes in the last decade. You should also have a proven track record of new business development in marketing solutions or professional services, as well as experience closing high-volume sales ($250k+ per sale) and managing diverse sales cycles (3 to 12 months).
We offer a competitive base salary of $120K CAD with potential earnings of up to $160K in the first year through activity bonuses and commissions.
