Accounting Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at CB Canada. This is a short-term contract position located in the Aurora, Ontario area.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipts, process daily invoices/credits, and assist with collection of past due balances

Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliations and month-end closings, other ad hoc projects

Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Post financial figures to journals and ledgers

Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Requirements:

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

Proficiency in QuickBooks

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel experience

Adeptness in account reconciliation

Outstanding data entry skills

2+ years of relevant experience

Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
