Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Career Consultant to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Role:

  • Provide career guidance and support to clients with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their employment goals.
  • Identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Administer and interpret tests to determine clients' interests, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • Collaborate with community groups, agencies, businesses, and organizations to provide career planning support and resources.
  • Become proficient in using MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and database software to manage client data and track progress.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a related field, preferably in a community-based agency or employment agency services setting.
  • Possess excellent written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
