Department Sales Manager

Job Summary:
The Department Sales Manager is a key role within Bass Pro Shops, responsible for driving business growth and excellence in one or more specialized merchandise departments. This leader will foster a world-class customer experience, develop and engage Outfitters in all aspects of department operations, and drive sales enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
- Meet or exceed financial plans, executing sales events and maintaining planograms.
- Act as Manager on Duty, opening and closing the store, and maintaining standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Lead the team in staff selection, development, and performance evaluation, promoting positive customer relations and a productive work environment.
- Resolve customer and Outfitter issues, and carry out management functions in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of retail management experience with sales and merchandising responsibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to read and analyze reports and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to learn and adapt to various office technology and software applications.
