Key Responsibilities
  • Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the produce department, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales and Profitability: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability in the produce department, including pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of produce associates to achieve sales and service goals, while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking produce, to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure that the produce department is visually appealing, with attractive displays and signage that promote sales and customer engagement.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop associates; excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service; proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
