Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Operations Specialist to join our team at Acode.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies and programs. They will advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements. The individual will also research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales, as well as administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policymaking and Program Development: Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs to align with organizational goals.
  • Employee Advisory Services: Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
  • Research and Analysis: Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to inform personnel decisions and maintain fairness in compensation practices.
  • Program Administration: Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs to promote diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
  • Performance Management: Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to support employee growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and electronic mail.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and possess attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication, judgement, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, values and ethics.
Benefits

Acode offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include a comprehensive health and dental plan, group life insurance, and access to professional development opportunities.
