We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Manager to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services - CFMWS. As the Assistant Mess Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating the operations of all mess activities and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce health, hygiene, safety, and security standards and programs
- Ensure strict enforcement of provincial liquor legislation and DND, CF, and Unit policies concerning the responsible serving of alcohol
- Evaluate and recommend staff requirements for functions
- Oversee protocol, table settings, and arrangements for the dining room
- Coordinate hospitality services, including banquets and functions
- Manage inventory and bar operations
- Administer personnel and perform related tasks
- College diploma or certificate in hospitality, food service management, or a related field
- Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
- Experience in coordinating hospitality services, applying policies and procedures, and organizing banquets and functions
- Knowledge of hospitality management, practices, and theories, as well as general business practices and theories
- Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership
Bilingualism is essential for this role, with functional reading, writing, and oral skills in both languages.
