Job Summary:

The Restaurant Shift Manager assists the Assistant Manager and General Manager with management activities and duties, ensuring all activities are consistent with and support the restaurant's business plan. The Shift Manager ensures all Team Members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting all expectations in all areas of their job description.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
  2. Effectively manage and monitor all aspects of the restaurant's operation to anticipate problems and take corrective action.
  3. Consistently enforce and maintain all quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
  4. Monitor and maintain proper staffing levels and labor costs.
  5. Train and provide direction and supervision for Team Members.
  6. Support efforts to maximize sales and profits and minimize controllable costs.
  7. Plan, organize, and implement all operational routines and activities during your shift.
  8. Maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow team members.
  9. Ensure all sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
  10. Ensure personal appearance meets company standards and displays professionalism at all times.
  11. Recognize and adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment for all.
  12. Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to work in high temperatures.
  3. Ability to work in close quarters with others.
  4. Able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
  5. Ability to work with various cleaning products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 18 years old.
  2. Willingness to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.
  3. Reliable transportation and method of communication with restaurant.
