Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Validation Engineer to join our team at Textron. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expertise and technological know-how within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in validation and testing of automotive products.
  • Analyze OEM SOWs for automotive components and support the definition of DVP.
  • Evaluate and interpret test results and define counter measures.
  • Creation of professional test reports.
  • Definition of test procedures, equipment, work instructions, and training measures for tests in the field of profession.
  • Calculation of test and validation costs.
  • Drive the OEM's buy-in to follow generic development and validation tests if reasonable.
  • Test planning and set up, coordination, execution, evaluation, and documentation of validation and development tests for automotive products.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or equivalent.
  • Testing and Validation experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and work in a team environment.
  • Professional knowledge about EV Battery, Fuel Tank, and/or ADAS Cleaning systems required.
  • Professional experience in one of the following fields is preferred:
    • Complex mechatronic systems, ideally automotive.
    • Design and CAE Analysis of EV Enclosures, Fuel Tanks, and/or Fixtures.
    • Data acquisition and measurement technology.
    • Good programming skills (C, C++, Python, Java, LabView).
  • Willingness to travel (customer visits, test drives, supplier development, exchange with other validation teams).
