HR Expert for Community Development

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the local Jewish community. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our HR operations and initiatives.
About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in HR administration, recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management. You will oversee HR processes, policies, and projects from start to finish, working collaboratively with leadership and staff to achieve key organizational goals.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with HR databases and systems is also highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and exiting employees.
- Support recruitment efforts through job boards, social media, and other channels.
- Provide day-to-day operational HR support, including maintaining employee records and preparing HR documents.
- Maintain and update salary bands to ensure competitive compensation.
- Oversee performance review processes and develop comprehensive employee professional development programs.
- Regularly update HR policies and procedures to align with current best practices and compliance standards.
- Promote a positive organizational culture by fostering employee engagement, recognition, and resolving employee concerns.
- Facilitate clear communication between HR and staff on policies, initiatives, and updates.
