Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Children's Aid Society of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and clients, ensuring that our computer systems and networks are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to staff and clients, resolving hardware and software issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Help Desk Operations: Manage the help desk system, responding to and resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Network and System Administration: Monitor and maintain our computer networks and systems, ensuring they are secure, stable, and running efficiently.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with staff and clients to understand their technical needs and provide effective solutions, communicating technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in IT support and help desk operations, with a strong background in computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA.
