The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining confidentiality of patient information, and working effectively in a team environment. If you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are proficient in Microsoft Office, and have experience in medical terminology, we encourage you to apply.
This role contributes to ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various departments, including Surgical Services, Women's and Children's Health, Clinics, Ambassadors, and Physician Offices.
Responsibilities- Register patients accurately and efficiently using PICIS system
- Process orders and enter demographic information into Meditech
- Verify and update medical insurance and patient payment sources
- Receive payment for services from uninsured patients and procedures
- Assist with accessibility needs and prepare patient packages
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Medical Office Administration program certificate and Medical Terminology certification
- A minimum of two years of current Patient Registration experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboarding skills (55 wpm)
- Experience in Meditech admissions and order entry
- Demonstrated organizational and record-keeping skills with a focus on accuracy
Cambridge Memorial Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $25.353 - $27.488 per hour, as well as benefits including:
